HISTORY
In 1946, the late Frank Donovan, on discharge from the RAAF,
came to Port Macquarie and took over an existing branch office of a
Kempsey law firm belonging to the Sheridan Family. The firm has
continued to expand over the years and now comprises 10 highly
qualified Lawyers and a large team of dedicated support staff.
We strive to be a client focused law firm, therefore as well as
giving providing a high level of legal service to our clients; each of
our staff is an active participant in the community.
Donovan Oates Hannaford Lawyers also takes part in sponsoring many
activities in the local community in order to benefit groups or
individuals.
Current sponsorship includes events such as the 2006 Port Macquarie
Hastings Council Awards for Excellence in Design and Heritage and the
2006 MHS Hastings Sportsperson with a disability Award. Other
sponsorship is provided to sporting clubs such as, Port United Soccer
Club, Port Macquarie Basketball Association, Port Macquarie Golf Club,
and we have recently been selected to co- sponsor the Port Macquarie
Sharks R.L.F.C. Additional sponsorship is provided to local schools
and individuals throughout the year.
As Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas have expanded so has
