Background:
Building on strengths in commercial and banking law, Hadyn's practice focuses on commercial law, consumer credit, personal property securities, privacy and anti-money laundering. Lenders in the mid-north and central coast of NSW have seen benefits in using a local lawyer with the accessibility, experience, skill set and attitude they value. With over 20 years experience in retail and consumer banking, Hadyn provides industry specific knowledge, credibility and a depth of understanding of banking, consumer credit and the issues affecting lenders that may generally only be found in large firms. He has spoken at industry and legal conferences and seminars on banking and finance issues and was an author of the CCH publication "The New Consumer Credit Code Explained". He has advised many national and regional lenders through-out his career.

- Advising ADI’s in Australia and New Zealand on credit and debit products
- Preparing the AML/CTF programs
- Drafting standard loan agreements for use in Australia and New Zealand
- Advising on comparison rates and maximum annual percentage rates
- Advising lenders on allegations of unconscionable conduct and defending actions
- Writing loan procedures manuals for new lenders entering the Australian and New Zealand markets, addressing all matters from loan application, approval, settlement, loan administration, applications for hardship relief, and discharge
- Undertaking compliance reviews of loan portfolios
- Recovery and enforcement litigation on behalf of lenders
- Advising on corporate governance issues, as a general counsel of a publicly listed financial services company and as a responsible officer of a responsible entity of numerous managed investment schemes
- White label banking schemes, joint ventures and alliances
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Personal property security legislation in New Zealand and current proposals here in Australia
